7/13 my treasures

So many pretties for my collection.

8/13 Brady's cozy sleeping spot

I was on the couch today watching TV and Brady cozied up and fell asleep. I found this position both amusing and endearing.

9/13 before and after 4th of July decorations

Brady had to spend his day in the kitchen because he is taking a steroid which makes him unable to go all day without an accident. So, I would much rather clean the kitchen floor than to steam clean the carpet every day. Even though this item has been on my dining room table for a week, I guess he discovered it during his confinement. So, here is the before... and after pictures.

10/13 The Flag

I have decided to get more creative with my photo editing so I can share more with you guys about my job. For those of you who do not know me personally, I am head over heals in love with my job. Sure, I have my days of frustration- who doesn't. But, I have many many more days of pure bliss. I am a teacher. I teach the most amazing children that I have ever met (relatives excluded of course!). I teach children ages 2 1/2-6 years old. My school is a Montessori School with a little over 200 students. We teach ages 18 months to 6th grade. Children typically stay in my class for 3 years. If you are unfamiliar with the Montessori philosophy, I invite you to learn more about it. It is not for everyone, but it is something I believe in.

I really try to build a community and connect with the families as much as possible. I am starting my 5th year this fall. The oldest children in my class my 1st year will be 4th graders this year. I am fortunate enough that I am still connected with a lot of these children through the Girl Scouts and other school wide functions. I pour my heart and soul into what I do- and it is SO much fun for me. Some days I can't believe I get paid for having so much fun, but I am extremely thankful that I do. I have always felt that I had to be reserved in the blog world and in the past have been reluctant to share. My class even has their own private blog that the parents can log into and see what is going on and class photo albums. We are doing some pretty interesting and amazing things. So, in an effort to feel more balance- enjoy the creative photo editing and sharing of something I really love.

So, I present to you-- the flag. I hope you enjoy.

11/13 webcam

Keith and Meredith have been helping us to pic a new web cam to be able to connect with Henry. I was able to watch Keith on his web cam this week to see if it was clear and stuff. He is SO entertaining- and I just loved it. I just laughed and laughed!! I had a web cam which I used to meet Donovan on- but to be honest- it was CRAP. Then I lost the microphone and eventually lost interest. I am hoping when we get the new web cam that I will be able to better connect with Donovan and Kaleigh as well. Maybe Karen could get one too!! I am pretty excited about it!!

12/13 sleepover palooza

Saturday- Alice and Eden are coming over for SLEEPOVER PALOOZA. You all know how much I just LOVE love love love LOVE these two girls. I can hardly wait.

13/13 Henry's quilt

Henry's quilt is giving me a little bit of trouble. I plan to have it finished this weekend and IN THE MAIL to wrap my love in. I am going to have to get creative because I ran out of one of the fabrics (due to a miscalculation and a rip out of a mistake) and of course I can't find the same fabric. So, his blanket has gotten a total overhaul. I hope they love it, and I will be blogging more about it this weekend when it is finished.
