Wednesday- I watched Lost-- LOVE that show.
Thursday- I worked, had Daisy Scouts, and went to the Grocery store. Our Brunos was having a buy one get one free sale so I had to go and get some items. That night- I cooked Chicken Kabobs in the rotisserie. The contained chicken, mushrooms, squash, tomatoes, and onions. They were delicious and I served them with roasted potatoes and pasta. I went to bed early that night- still dealing with this allergy/cold/cough thing. I took a codeine cough pill and went to bed. I am sure you all missed the Thursday 13- but don't worry- I have already started working on the Thursday 13 for next week.
Friday- I had an awesome day at school. I came home and prepared beef wellington, mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner.
It was so delicious! We had a relaxing night at home and caught up on our DVR watching.
Today, I got up and looked through my recipe drawer trying to find something yummy to make for our annual Super Bowl Party. Mr. D. got up and we went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast- which I hate, and then to the Party City - which I love! We went to the Parent Teacher Store, Wolf Camera, Hobby Lobby and Costco. Here is a pic of my cart at Costco.
There has never been a girl so glad to get some Food Saver Bags!! We also picked up a 6 lb pork tenderloin for 9 dollars!! I came home and sealed it right up into 3 nights worth of meals!! After the shopping trip- I came home and took a nap. That is exactly what I needed too. I felt so refreshed afterwards.
Remember the Dragon??? Well, my class won 3rd place in their division for the art contest. So, today we had to be at the Chinese Festival to accept our award. We had talked to the lady in charge of the festival and she said the award would be at 3:45. We went downtown and parked. It was 3:pm. We saw our neighbors and chatted with them for a few minutes while my friend Courtney got out of her car so we could walk in with her. We walked in and they had our art work on display, so I showed it to Mr. D. Courtney, Ki (in my class) and Avi (Courtney's other daughter) had to enter the auditorium through a ramp because Avi was in a stroller. We were winding down and I hear the lady say "The Blue Class." WHAT??? It is only 3:15ish.. So, we finally get to the bottom of the ramp and sure enough- they had given the award. I was proud as a peacock when I looked up at the stage and saw some of my kids up there accepting the award for us. They weren't scared at all- and SO cute. I just can't tell you how proud I was of these sweet darlings. Afterwards, I chatted with the families and thanked them for coming- and introduced Mr. D. to the families he hadn't met yet. Here is a picture of me and Kate with the Dragon head and I am holding our $30 check that the kids won. If you look behind me - you will see the part of the dragon where the kids made the fish out of pasta. Our dragon had 16 body parts and 27 Ox made out of fabric and chopsticks.
After the festival- Kate and her boyfriend Blake joined us for - what else- Chinese food for an early dinner.
Mr. D. and I went to the market after that to get our list for the super bowl party. We came home and did a little prep work for the Par-TAY!! I am going to make you wait until tomorrow to see what we are having.....
I enjoyed a chocolate chip waffle. It was SO good. We are both still sick with this cold and thought some time out of the house may be good for us. I am going to set off a lysol bomb when we go to work tomorrow. Afterwards we went to Books-A-Million. I love going to the bookstore. I always love looking at everything. I looked at religious books, gardening books, adoption books, cook books, and the discount books. Mr. D. just looked at Photography books. He got a new camera for Christmas and I am very excited about his getting into more of a photography hobby. I am encouraging him to start a photography blog to show off his talent.
We came home and put our PJ's back on. We have spent the afternoon listening to each other cough and doing projects on the internet. I revamped my blog and added twitter to the side. Mr. D. has played some trivia game on the New England Patriots. I am cooking a hen in the rotisserie tonight.
The eye doctor ordered 6 months worth instead of a year, so when I went to pick them up in August- they didn't have enough. They ordered them and I have been meaning to stop and pick them up since September. Hey- it only took me 4 months- but here that are (insert cheering here) - and, the funniest part is that they had a coupon with them for saline that expired in December. I had to chuckle over that.

We are down to two rainbow fish, 1 striped zebra danio and 1 red wag polly (Phelps). We will see who is the last fish standing. We have already picked out our next group of fish. I still am not sure who the killer fish is- but since my shark died, I have ruled him out as a suspect.
