Tomorrow Shelby Kathryn will be 8 months old. Here are some little tidbits about her.
She is wearing a size 4 in Huggies Little Movers.
She said her first words yesterday. She says words all of the time but never in an appropriate situation so we know that she knows what they mean. Yesterday as Mr. D. was leaving for a work function she waved and said "bye bye". So precious.
One word that we know she knows the meaning of is clap. She can clap on command... when she wants to.

In the last six weeks she has gone from creeping to crawling to pulling up to cruising to climbing. We are expecting first steps and then running any day now.
She is in size 12 month clothes and a size 3 shoe.
She loves a bath and has the art of splashing down pat. She likes to stay in the tub until all of the water has gone down the drain.
Her hair is getting longer but we still have not figured out where her natural part is going to be. Sometimes it's to the left, sometimes to the right.
She eats everything. She is eating three jars of food (or the homemade equivalent) each day. She also enjoys self feeding with cheerios, gold fish, baby mum mums, diced vegetables and blueberries. And, just like her cousin Henry she likes the YoBaby yogurt with the veggies and fruits blended in. She is tolerating fruit much better now!
She drinks between 8 and 10 quarts of Similac a week.
She is terrified of Bubbles. We have tried twice now and it is definitely something she hates!
She loves to walk around the living room table and play with anything she can reach on there.

She loves Brady. They are a mess together.
She enjoys riding in the car and going for walks with her stroller.
She is starting to get into a routine with her sleeping both with naps during the day and going to bed at night. She has been downgraded to no more bumpers since they were helping her to try and climb out of the crib. She has been upgraded though with a pillow and breathable blanket. At bedtime when she sees me coming to get her with her blanket she gets very excited.
She continues to be a self soother. Even when she tumbles over from cruising she is very resilient.
She loves watching TV. Her "shows" are Little Einsteins and Jungle Junction.
She is on a daily dose of Zyrtec for her allergies. It was rough going to a while there and I am so glad we got this under control quickly.
She is a happy little girl. She smiles and coos and squeals all of the time.
She loves riding in the shopping cart.
She still only has the two bottom teeth and she loves to have her teeth brushed.
